Plastic Surgeon Hardy Joins Ponte Vedra Dermatology in August

Jacksonville, FL (July 6, 2007) - Plastic surgeon Dr. James Hardy will join the staff of Ponte Vedra Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery beginning August 1 – making the center one of the first private practices in northeast Florida to offer plastic surgery and dermatology services at the same location.

Hardy, 34, is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery. He comes to Ponte Vedra from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, where he completed his residency program in plastic surgery in June.

Hardy completed his residency in surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in Longbranch, New Jersey and at Mount Sinai Medical School in Manhattan in Internal Medicine.

“I’m looking forward to establishing a great working relationship at the practice and with the community in Ponte Vedra and the Jacksonville area,” Hardy said.

Hardy is a native of Michigan and was raised in Detroit and surrounding suburban areas.He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Society in 1995 from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1999 from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Ponte Vedra Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery was founded by Dr. David T. Harvey in 1996 as the first dermatology and complete skin care practice in Ponte Vedra Beach. The practice, which moved to an 8,000-square-foot office at 232 Ponte Vedra Park Dr. in 2003, incorporates a medical spa, an on-site ambulatory surgery center and a state-of-the-art laser and dermatology center.
