Plaza III Introduces Happy Hour, Events to Celebrate First Anniversary

Jacksonville, FL (January 17, 2007) – To celebrate its one-year anniversary in Jacksonville, Plaza III, The Steakhouse is introducing a happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. each weekday – offering a half-price discount on Plaza III Wine, well drinks and domestic beers.

"We are doing a brisk business with our guests staying at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront, but we want to do more to encourage the local residents to visit the restaurant…especially those who work and live in the downtown area," said owner J. Bard McLean, Jr. "We’ll be introducing more special events and activities at Plaza III throughout the year to provide more incentives for them to stop by an experience the restaurant."

For example, the restaurant worked in conjunction with the nearby Plaza Condominiums to create a monthly social mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month. Plaza III will also introduce some wine tastings for the spring and cigar events to be held on its outside patio.

"We’ve got a wonderful space, with two private meeting rooms and patio area, and we need to maximize their use for special events," McLean said. "Excluding private clubs, Plaza III offers more amenities than nearly any other restaurant in the downtown area and we want to capitalize on that in 2007."

Plaza III originated in Kansas City, Missouri in 1963 and the Jacksonville location is one of only five in the United States.
