Clary & Associates Featured at Seminar on Plat and Subdivision Law

Jacksonville, FL (October 23, 2006) — The legal ins and outs of platting and subdividing land will be the topic of a day-long seminar featuring speakers from Jacksonville-based survey company Clary & Associates at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Jacksonville beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26.

Greg Clary, owner and president of Clary & Associates, along with Melissa M. Gross-Arnold, an attorney with the Jacksonville office of Lewis, Longman & Walker P.A., and Joseph Mecca, a civil engineer with the local office of national consulting firm Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. will serve as faculty for the event, being sponsored by Wisconsin-based Lorman Education Services.

The seminar is designed for attorneys, engineers, planners, developers, architects, property managers and public works and utilities directors, who will receive continuing education credit for their attendance. Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.

"The legal aspects of platting and subdividing land often can be challenging, so it’s important for everyone involved in the process to know their role and the historical background, statutes, regulations and requirements of plat and subdivision law," Clary said.
