Clary & Associates Announces New Hire and Promotion

Jacksonville, FL (January 23, 2007) Jacksonville-based Clary & Associates Professional Surveyors and Mappers has hired Rocky Sawyer as a new crew chief for the company.

In this role Sawyer will oversee a variety of projects performed by survey technicians, rodmen and instrument operators in the field. Sawyer previously worked in the same capacity with Weidener Surveying and Mapping of Orlando and has more than 10 years experience in the field.

Sawyer started in the survey profession with Herx Associates in Altamonte, Florida. He attended Valencia Community College where he took his initial courses in drafting, mechanical drawing and surveying.

Clary & Associates also announced that Peter (Ted) Vas, III, who has worked as a rodman and instrumentman with the company since 2005, has received a promotion to utility crew chief. In his new role, Vas will be responsible for coordination of mapping utilities and utility relocation projects.

Before joining the company Vas served as a commander and aviator with the US Navy. Vas received a Bachelor of Building Construction from the University of Florida in Gainesville and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri
